กูเกิลแจก Google TV ให้ผู้ร่วมงานสัมมนาทุกคน

เราเห็นกูเกิลแจกมือถือฟรีมาหลายรอบแล้ว แต่ในงาน Google Zeitgeist ซึ่งกลุ่มผู้ร่วมงานเป็นพาร์ทเนอร์หรือลูกค้าผู้ลงโฆษณาของกูเกิล กูเกิลได้ประกาศว่าจะแจก Google TV ให้กับผู้ร่วมงานทุกคนแทน ของที่กูเกิลแจกประกอบด้วย

  • ชุดทีวีดาวเทียม Dish Network พร้อมฟรีค่าบริการ 3 เดือน (อุปกรณ์ของ Dish Network มีฟีเจอร์ Google TV ในตัว)
  • เครื่องเล่น Blu-ray จากโซนี่ (มีฟีเจอร์ Google TV ในตัว)
  • ติตตั้งให้ฟรีถึงบ้าน

อุปกรณ์จะถูกส่งให้เมื่อ Google TV ประกาศเปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว ตอนนี้ยังไม่มีคำยืนยันว่าเมื่อไร แต่ข่าวรั่วที่ออกมาคือ 17 ตุลาคม

นักวิเคราะห์มองว่าแผนนี้ของกูเกิลถือว่าตรงเป้า เพราะกลุ่มคนที่ได้รับ Google TV ก็เป็นผู้บริหารของบริษัทโฆษณาที่จะมาลงโฆษณากับกูเกิลนั่นเอง

ผมว่ามันเป็นกลยุทธ์การเข้าตลาดแบบต้องการแบ่งส่วนตลาดจากทีวีเดิมเลยใช้วิธีแจกฟรี (ปกติคือขายราคาต่ำ) เพื่อครอบครองส่วนแบ่งตลาด ลองดู Market Penetration แต่มันจะต่างออกไปตรงที่อันนี้เหมือนๆ เป็นการเปิดผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ในตลาดเดิมน่ะครับ

จะซื้อทีวีที่มี google tv built-in ในตัวผมว่าคงต้องรอสักพักเลยครับ อาจจะ 6 เดือนถึงเป็นปีเลยก็ได้กว่าจะมีรุ่นนั้นออกมา (แถมดีไม่ดีอาจจะเป็นเฉพาะรุ่นทอปราคาแพงเท่านั้น bla bla bla) ถ้าอดใจรอไม่ไหวก็สอยมาก่อนก็ได้นะครับ แล้วค่อยไปหาซื้อบ๊ิอกทีหลัง

ชักมองภาพไม่ออก Google TV คืออะไรกันแน่ - -*

Google TV คืออุปกรณ์ที่รองรับการแสดงเนื้อหาของ Google + ของเดิมของผู้ผลิต ได้
เช่น กล่องรับดาวเทียม ก็คือรับดาวเทียมได้ ดู Youtube ได้, TV ก็ดู TV ได้ ดู Youtube ได้

ผมเข้าใจถูกมั้ย ?

ถ้ามี HD Box อย่างพวก WD Live หรือ Seagate Freeagent Theater+ จะเห็นภาพขึ้นครับ

ปัญหาตอนนี้คือพวก HD Box นี่มันไปกันคนละทางมาก พัฒนา App ลงไปไม่ได้ หน้าจอไม่เป็นมาตรฐาน ฟีเจอร์คาดเดาไม่ค่อยได้ ฯลฯ

ถ้ามี OS ที่เป็นกลางมากกว่านี้ อนาคตทีวีก็จะกลายเป็นแพลตฟอร์มใหม่ ตอนนี้มีคู่แข่งสามเจ้าคือ Apple TV, Google TV, และ MeeGo แต่รายแรกนั้นเป็นระบบปิดของตัวเองหมด ผู้ผลิตเช่น Seagate, Western Digital, Sony, Logitech ฯลฯ มีทางเลือกแค่สองทางหลังครับ ที่จะทำให้อุปกรณ์ของตัวเองมี OS กลางที่พัฒนาแอพลิเคชั่นได้ง่าย และฟีเจอร์เยอะกว่าเดิมโดยไม่ต้องทุ่มจ้างนักพัฒนามานั่งทำกันเอง

มันคือ HD BOX ที่มีfirmwareที่เสถียร ไม่มีปัญหาเรื่องดูไฟล์หรือซับ เพราะมี OS ของกูเกิลเป็นตัวกลางอยู่ แล้วยังดูรายการทีวี ผ่านอินเตอร์เน็ตได้ด้วยใช่มั้ย ผมเข้าใจถูกมั้ย

ใช่ มันคือสงครามชิงหน้าจอ ใครทำให้ผู้ใช้จ้องได้นานกว่าคนนั้นชนะ

Desktop -> Web -> มือถือ -> tablet -> TV อีกหน่อยก็คงมี แว่นตา แล้วตามด้วยคอนแทคบิ๊กอาย
