ไมโครซอฟท์ไม่ทิ้งชื่อ Hotmail

หลังการเปลี่ยนชื่อไปใช้ Windows Live Mail ก็ดูเหมือนว่าทางไมโครซอฟท์จะเตรียมการทิ้งชื่อ Hotmail ที่ซื้อมาตั้งแต่ปี 1998 ไป แต่การให้สัมภาษณ์ครั้งล่าสุด Richard Sim ผู้จัดการอาวุโสฝ่ายผลิตภัณฑ์ของไมโครซอฟท์ก็ออกมาระบุว่าบริษัทจะกลับไปใช้ชื่อ Hotmail ทำให้ชื่อสุดท้ายของบริการเมลนี้เป็น Windows Live Hotmail แทน เพื่อลดความสับสนที่ว่าบริการใหม่เป็นคนละบริการกับ Hotmail

Windows Live Hotmail จะเปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการในปีนี้ โดยไมโครซอฟท์จะเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ใช้เลือกใช้งานได้ทั้งโดเมน hotmail.com หรือ live.com

ข่าวดีสุดท้ายคือไมโครซอฟท์จะตั้ง Classic View ให้เป็นหน้าจอมาตรฐานแทนหน้าจอ AJAX แบบใหม่แล้ว

เคยลองใช้เมื่อสี่ห้าเดือนก่อนรู้สึกไม่ชอบ ไม่รู้ว่าตอนนี้ปรับปรุงเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างไรบ้าง

ตอนนี้เลยเปลี่ยนมาใช้ gmail สำหรับติดต่องาน ส่วน hotmail ไว้ลงทะเบียนตามเว็บทั่วไป

* gmail เมื่อรวมกับ Add on ของ Firefox ยิ่งทำให้ใช้งานสะดวกขึ้นมากๆ

เท่าที่ลองใช้ดูผมว่า windows live ตอนนี้ดีขึ้นกว่าแต่ก่อนนะครับ แต่ยังมีปัญหาเรื่องความเร็วอยู่ถ้าไม่ได้ติด adsl นี่เวลาจะส่งเมลล์ลำบากมากๆเลย
