โซนี่ประกาศขึ้นราคาบริการสมาชิก PlayStation Plus ในบางประเทศ โดยอ้างเหตุผลเรื่องสภาพเศรษฐกิจ (market conditions) ราคาใหม่จะมีผลเฉพาะกับลูกค้าใหม่เท่านั้น ส่วนลูกค้าเก่ายังได้ราคาเดิมในเกือบทุกประเทศ ยกเว้นตุรกีและอินเดีย

ราคาใหม่ เริ่มต้นที่

  • สหรัฐอเมริกา 10.99 ดอลลาร์ต่อเดือน (เดิม 9.99 ดอลาร์)
  • สหราชอาณาจักร 7.99 ปอนด์ต่อเดือน
  • สหภาพยุโรป 9.99 ยูโรต่อเดือน

จากหน้าเว็บของ PlayStation Thailand ยังใช้ ราคาเดิมที่เพิ่งปรับขึ้นในปี 2025 เริ่มต้นที่ 270 บาทต่อเดือน

ปีที่แล้วฝั่งบ้าน Xbox เพิ่งปรับขึ้นราคา Game Pass แต่ล่าสุดเมื่อเดือนเมษายน Asha Sharma ซีอีโอใหม่เพิ่งปรับลดราคาลงมา แลกกับการไม่มีเกมใหญ่อย่าง Call of Duty แบบ Day One

ผมนึกสภาพไม่ออกว่าหลัง Gabe Newell จากไป Steam จะเป็นยังไงต่อ หรือจะมาสภาพเดียวกับ EA Ubisoft จนทำให้พวก PC Master Race หันหลังใส่ Steam หรือเปล่า

ตั้งกองทุนมาบริหาร Steam ต่อโดยตั้งเงื่อนไขกองทุนไม่ให้โดนนายทุนกลืนกินได้อยู่นะครับ หรือไม่ก็ส่งต่อให้ลูก ๆ โดยมีเงื่อนไขอะไรก็ตาม

ในวงการเกมพอมีนายทุนมายุ่งนี่เสื่อมถอยหมดอย่าง blizzard สุดท้ายโดนกลืนด้วยตัวเลขผลกำไรจนผู้ก่อตั้งออกหมด แน่นอนว่าเติบโตทางด้านตัวเลขแหละแต่แฟนเกมได้แต่เศร้าเพราะเกมไม่สนุกเหมือนสมัยก่อนแล้วมีแต่จ้องจะขายmicrotransactionsจนระบบเกมพัง
