Yoko Taro ผู้กำกับฝ่ายสร้างสรรค์ และโปรดิวเซอร์ Yosuke Saito ของเกมซีรี่ส์ Nier เข้าร่วมงาน G-STAR 2023 ในเกาหลีใต้เพื่อนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับการสร้าง Nier Automata และอนาคตของซีรี่ส์นี้

Yosuke Saito กล่าวในงานว่าตราบใดที่ Yoko Taro ยังมีชีวิตอยู่ ซีรีส์ Nier ก็จะดำเนินต่อไป แม้ว่าเขาจะเน้นย้ำว่าตอนนี้มีสถานการณ์ที่ทำให้พวกเขาไม่สามารถออกภาคใหม่ได้ในเร็ว ๆ นี้ก็ตาม

มีรายงานว่าตอนท้ายของการนำเสนอ Yosuke ระบุว่าเขาและ Yoko กำลังทำงานร่วมกันในโปรเจ็กต์อื่นที่แยกออกมาจาก Nier และเขาอยากจะพูดถึงเรื่องนี้ในสักช่วงของปี 2024

เกมล่าสุดของ Yoko Taro คือ 404 Game Re:set ซึ่งเป็นเกมมือถือที่สร้างขึ้นร่วมกับ Sega เกมดังกล่าวซึ่งมีฉากหลังเป็นอนาคต และเล่าเรื่องในเกมว่า Sega เป็นองค์กรที่ชั่วร้าย และใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก เกมเปิดตัวในญี่ปุ่นเมื่อเดือนเมษายนที่ผ่านมา แต่ต่อมาประกาศว่าจะเกมปิดตัวลงในเดือนมกราคมปี 2024

ผมอ่านข่าวนี้แล้ว ผมสงสัยอยู่ว่าคนที่เขียนข่าวรู้จัก Nier ภาคต้น (Gestalt, Replicant) หรือเปล่า เพราะเห็นเกริ่นถึง Automata ที่เป็นภาคที่สองเลย แล้วคือภาคแรกมี remake ออกมาสักพักแล้วเหมือนกัน อะไรแบบนี้ครับ

ไม่ได้บอกว่าจับผิดนะ แค่สงสัย เพราะว่าผมพบว่ามีหลายคนรู้จัก Neir แค่ Automata ภาคเดียวเท่านั้น

นี่ยังไม่นับว่ามันเป็น Spin-off ของ Drag-on Dragoon/Drakengard นะ

Drakengard ฉากจบยุคนั้นแบบน่าจะเป็นการเล่าเรื่องแรกๆเลยที่หลุดมาต่างโลก
แล้วมาโลกมนุษย์ที่ไม่มีเวทย์มนต์ ซากศพแพร่เชื้อ จนมาเป็นเนื้อเรื่อง Automata สุโค่ยยยย ต่อยอดมาก
