Amazon ปิดเว็บ DPReview เว็บรีวิวอุปกรณ์ถ่ายภาพจากอังกฤษที่เคยได้รับความนิยมสูง โดย Amazon ซื้อมาจากเจ้าของเดิมเมื่อปี 2007 นับเป็นเว็บเก่าแก่เพราะเปิดมาตั้งแต่ปี 1998 หรือ 25 ปีมาแล้ว แต่รอบนี้ได้รับผลกระทบจากการปรับลดคนรอบล่าสุด ทำให้ทีมงานถูกยุบไป

ตัวเว็บไซต์ยังคงมีอัพเดตเรื่อยๆ และเดือนที่ผ่านมามียอดผู้เข้าชมจาก SimilarWeb อยู่ที่ 7.1 ล้านคน ขณะที่สมัย Amazon เข้าซื้อมียอดผู้เข้าชม 7 ล้านคน (แต่กระบวนการนับอาจจะต่างกัน)

เว็บไซต์และทีมงานจะยังคงทำงานต่อไปจนถึงวันที่ 10 เมษายนนี้

แต่เหมือนช่วงนี้ Amazon พยายามจะสั่งปิดทุกอย่างที่ขวางหน้า

1 รายจ่ายคน/ทีมงานมันแพงเมื่อเทียบกับกำไรและเทียบกับธุรกิจส่วนอื่น
2 การมีของเล็กๆน้อยๆต้องดูหลายๆสิ่งมันก็เปลือง effort เหมือนกันถึงแม้จะได้กำไรแต่กำไรรวมมันก็ไม่ได้เท่ากับของใหญ่ที่ต้องโฟกัส และจะ focus สิ่งที่จำเป็นได้มากขึ้น เนื่องจากเวลามีจำกัด (เช่น ไม่ว่าคนจะเยอะแค่ไหนสุดท้าย management ก็ต้องแบ่งจาก 24 ชั่วโมงต่อวันไปบริหาร เอาเวลาส่วนนั้นไป focus สิ่งที่สำคัญกว่าดีกว่า)

ปล ผมว่าเหตุผลหลักคือข้อสอง(ถ้า DP ยังได้กำไรนะ) แล้ว DP ก็โดนหางเลขจากข้อสอง
