มีรายงานว่า Palm เตรียมกลับคืนสู่ตลาดอีกครั้งในช่วงต้นปี 2018 ซึ่งจะผลิตโดย TCL ผู้ผลิตสินค้าอิเล็กทรอนิกส์จากจีน ที่ซื้อแบรนด์ Palm จาก HP ไป โดยคาดจะมีทั้งสมาร์ทโฟน และอุปกรณ์จดบันทึกแบบ PalmPilot

ปัจจุบันพอร์ตโฟลิโอของ TCL นั้นมีแบรนด์มือถืออยู่หลายยี่ห้อ ซึ่งผู้บริหาร TCL บอกว่ามีกลุ่มลูกค้าที่แตกต่างกัน โดย Alcatel เน้นกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่, BlackBerry เน้นตลาดธุรกิจองค์กร และ Palm จะเน้นกลุ่มผู้ใหญ่ ที่มีภาพจำของ Palm อยู่แล้ว

Palm ในยุคใหม่นี้ คงต้องใช้ระบบปฏิบัติการ Android เนื่องจาก webOS เป็นของ LG

ใช้ Android แล้วออกแบบให้มีคีย์บอร์ดดีๆ ใช้โปรแกรม Chat เป็นหลัก ทำตารางนัดหมาย มี Todo ใช้ปากาเขียนกราฟิตี้ได้ เลือกเฉพาะ App ที่ใช้ในองค์กรมี Security ที่น่าเชื่อถือ ก็น่าจะเจาะตลาดกลุ่มองค์กรได้ ถึงแม้จะดูตลาดคร่อมอยู่กับ BB อยู่ก็เหอะ แต่จุดขายก็คือการเขียนแบบกราฟิตี้เนี่ยแหล่ะ ยังมีคนจำได้ไหนเนี่ยว่าเขียนแบบไหน
