เกมต้นฉบับ Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag ถือเป็นเกมในแฟรนไชส์ Assassin's Creed ที่มียอดขายสูงสุดด้วย ตัวเลขเท่าที่เปิดเผยคือยอดขายรวม 15 ล้านชุด การรีเมคภาคนี้อีกครั้งก็ย่อมมีฐานแฟนๆ เดิมจำนวนมากที่พร้อมอุดหนุนเกมเวอร์ชันใหม่
