Android เพิ่มฟีเจอร์ Intrusion Log เช็คว่ามีใครแอบเข้าเครื่อง, ปิดการเชื่อมต่อ USB ชาร์จได้อย่างเดียว

กูเกิลมี โหมดความปลอดภัยขั้นสูงหรือ Advanced Protection Program มาตั้งแต่ปี 2017 เพื่อคุ้มครองบัญชีบุคคลสำคัญ​ (เช่น นักต่อสู้ทางการเมือง บุคคลตำแหน่งสูงในรัฐบาล) ที่อาจโดนแฮ็กบัญชีหรือเผลอปล่อยข้อมูลสำคัญรั่วไหล

โหมด Advanced Protection ขยายตัวมายัง Android ในปี 2020 เพิ่มความคุ้มครองตัวอุปกรณ์ เช่น ห้าม sideload แอพจากนอกสโตร์,​ บังคับต้องเปิด Google Play Protect ช่วยสแกนความปลอดภัยเครื่อง

ล่าสุด กูเกิลขยายฟีเจอร์ของ Advanced Protection บน Android เพิ่มของใหม่เข้ามาอีกดังนี้

  • Intrusion Log เอาไว้ตรวจดูได้ว่ามีใครเข้ามาใช้เครื่องของเราบ้าง ตัว log จะถูกเก็บแบบเข้ารหัสไว้บนคลาวด์​ มีแต่เจ้าของเครื่องที่ดูได้
  • Inactivity Reboot รีบูทเครื่องอัตโนมัติหากทิ้งไว้เฉยๆ ไม่ใช้งาน 72 ชั่วโมง เพื่อให้เข้าโหมดที่ยังไม่เคยถูกปลดล็อคเครื่อง ซึ่งปลอดภัยกว่า - ข่าวเก่า
  • USB Protection ปิดการเชื่อมต่อผ่านสาย USB ทุกกรณี ชาร์จได้อย่างเดียว
  • ไม่พยายามเชื่อมต่อเครือข่าย Wi-Fi ที่ไม่ได้เข้ารหัส หรือ เข้ารหัสแบบไม่ปลอดภัย (เช่น WEP ที่โดนเจาะสำเร็จไปนานแล้ว)

การเปิดโหมด Advanced Protection บน Android ยังเปลี่ยนค่าความปลอดภัยอื่นๆ ที่มีอยู่แล้วบน Android แต่ปิดมาเป็นดีฟอลต์​ เช่น จะไม่สามารถเชื่อมต่อ 2G ได้อีก, เปิดใช้ฟีเจอร์​ Android Safe Browing, Theft Detection, Caller ID & Spam

ฟีเจอร์ชุดใหม่ของ Advanced Protection ออกไม่ทัน Android 16 และจะตามมาอัพเดตให้ภายในปี 2025

USB Protection ปิดการเชื่อมต่อผ่านสาย USB ทุกกรณี ชาร์จได้อย่างเดียว

ต้นทางเขียนว่าปิดเป็น default เฉพาะถ้าเชื่อมตอนล็อคจออยู่ น่าจะหมายถึงยังปรับให้เชื่อมได้ถ้าปลดล็อคนะฮะ
ตอนอ่านแอบคิดเหมือนกันว่าถ้าจะใช้เป็นกล้องด้วยอาจจะลำบากจนเริ่มคิดว่าฟีเจอร์เยอะๆ นี่อาจจะต้องมีให้ toggle ได้มั้ยนะ 😣

ไม่พยายามเชื่อมต่อเครือข่าย Wi-Fi ที่ไม่ได้เข้ารหัส หรือ เข้ารหัสแบบไม่ปลอดภัย (เช่น WEP ที่โดนเจาะสำเร็จไปนานแล้ว)

แบบอันนี้นี่เริ่มจะกระทบละ WiFi ของเมืองที่นี่เป็น open
จริงๆ แอบไม่เข้าใจว่าทำไมเค้าไม่ทำให้ WiFi open มัน encrypt ข้อมูลบ้างมากกว่า คือกระทั่ง WiFi ที่ตั้งรหัสแต่แจกรหัสเป็นสาธารณะมันก็ยังปลอดภัยได้แต่ไม่ใช่ทุกที่ที่เหมาะหรือง่ายในการแจกจ่ายรหัสผ่านแบบตามพื้นที่ที่กว้างมากๆ อะไรแบบนั้น

Android เปิดตัวมารอบนี้ ระบบรักษาความปลอดแน่นหนาดีมาก ฟีเจอร์ของ Advanced Protection โดยเฉพาะ Intrusion Log เป็นการทำให้ระบบเปิดมีระดับ Security ไม่แพ้ระบบปิดเลยทีเดียว
