1Password บริการบริหารจัดการรหัสผ่านเผยโฉม 1Password 8 เวอร์ชัน Mac อย่างเป็นทางการ ตามหลัง 1Password 8 for Windows ราว 2 เดือน

จุดเด่นหลักของ 1Password 8 คือการปรับดีไซน์ครั้งใหญ่ เน้นให้ข้อมูลชัดเจนว่าข้อมูลที่ถืออยู่มีอะไรที่แชร์บ้าง ใครที่แชร์ด้วย, ช่องค้นหาพร้อมระบบแนะนำ และ Watchover แดชบอร์ดแสดงข้อมูลความปลอดภัยของรหัสผ่านแบบก็อัพเดตใหม่เช่นกัน

1Password 8 for Mac ตอนนี้เปิดให้ทดสอบแบบ Early Access แล้ว ผู้ใช้สามารถเข้าไปดูรายละเอียดได้ที่ 1Password Support Community โดยผู้ใช้จะต้องถอนการติดตั้ง 1Password 7 ออกก่อนที่จะติดตั้งเวอร์ชันใหม่ลงไป และเตือนว่าตอนนี้ 1Password 8 ยังเป็นเวอร์ชันทดสอบเท่านั้น

ขอสอบถามเป็นความรู้หน่อยครับ ว่า Electron ไม่ดียังไงหรือครับ หรือทำไมถึงไม่ควรใช้กับแอปนี้ครับ
คือเห็น VS Code ก็ใช้ Electron แล้วออกมาดีมาก เลยสงสัยครับ

ที่ผมคิดนะ คือของเดิมเป็น Native แล้วมันลื่น พอเปลี่ยนเป็น Electron แล้วมันอืดกว่า คนก็เลยบ่นกัน ง่ายๆ ก็คือมีข้อเปรียบเทียบนั้นแหละ ส่วน VSCode นอกจากจะไม่มีเวอร์ชั่น Native ก่อนหน้าให้เปรียบเทียบกับแล้ว ก็โดนจับเทียบกับ Atom ซึ่ง VSCode ก็ลื่นกว่า (ผมก็ย้ายหนี Atom มา VSCode) คือถ้ามี Native มาก่อนแล้วมา Electron ไม่อืด ก็ไม่น่าจะมีใครว่าอะไร

มันกินทรัพยากรเยอะขึ้น ละมีโอกาสที่จะอืดกว่าด้วยครับ
แล้วฟังจากคนที่ลองใช้ตัว Beta ก็คือพวก UI Elements ต่างๆ (อย่างน้อยตอนนี้)
มันไม่เข้าที่เข้าทางเหมือน Native ที่ใช้ AppKit ของ Apple
คนใช้ Mac ส่วนมาก Sensitvie เรื่องนี้อยู่แล้ว

แต่เหตุผลใหญ่ๆ เลยหลายคนมองว่า เป็น App เสียตัง แถมเป็นแบบ Subcription ด้วย
ไม่ควรได้แอพที่เขียน Cross-platform มา ควรได้แอพ Native
หลายคนหนีจากตัวอื่นมาใช้ 1P เพราะเป็นแอพ Native
