Facebook กำลังบังคับให้พนักงานส่วนหนึ่งเปลี่ยนไปใช้ Android เพื่อเข้าใจประสบการณ์ผู้ใช้มากขึ้น

Chris Cox ผู้บริหารของ Facebook ได้ออกมาให้ข่าวว่าตอนนี้ Facebook กำลังใช้มาตรการบังคับให้พนักงานจำนวนหนึ่งเปลี่ยนจาก iPhone ไปใช้ Android

Cox ให้เหตุผลว่า ที่เราต้องเปลี่ยนให้พนักงานไปใช้ Android แทน เพราะว่าพนักงานส่วนใหญ่หากจะเลือกใช้มือถือมักจะเลือก iPhone แต่ Facebook เป็นสังคมออนไลน์ที่มีผู้ใช้ 1,500 ล้านคนทั่วโลก โดยเฉพาะผู้ใช้ในตลาดใหม่ๆ ที่ตอนนี้กำลังเริ่มเติบโตมักจะใช้มือถือ Android การที่ให้พนักงานเปลี่ยนไปใช้ Android ก็เพื่อที่จะทำให้พนักงานได้เข้าใจประสบการณ์การใช้งาน Facebook แบบเดียวกับผู้ใช้เหล่านั้น และจะได้รายงานบั๊กด้วย

ก่อนหน้านี้ Facebook ก็มีโครงการให้พนักงานเข้าใจผู้ใช้ อย่างเช่น 2G Tuesday

บังคับใช้ android spec ล่างๆด้วยหรือเปล่า เพราะ android ตลาด ล่าง-กลางนี่ถือเป็นตลาดใหญ่เลย

เอาจริงๆ หากบริษัทอยากให้ใช้อุปกรณ์หรือบริการใดๆ ที่อยู่ในขอบข่ายงาน บริษัทควรออกค่าใช้จ่าย หรือมีส่วนลดเพื่อจูงใจให้ใช้นะครับ

อย่างเช่นบริษัท A ทำบริการ A1 ออกมา อยากให้พนักงานใช้ก็ออกค่าใช้จ่ายให้ หรือมีส่วนลด คือมันมีคำที่เค้าใช้ๆ กับว่า dogfood

หลายบริษัทใน silicon valley ก็ทำกันเยอะ อย่าง Microsoft หรือ Google ก็ทำเช่นกัน

เมื่อเช้าผมเทสของ DTAC ได้ที่วงเวียนใหญ่ ได้สปีด 40/20 เมกนะครับ ถือว่าไม่เลวเลยครับ

แต่โซนอื่นนี่อย่างเน่า ต้องลองใหม่หลังจากเปิดคลื่น 1800 แล้ว

ไม่แปลกใจเลย อย่างผมเห็น React Native ของ fb เอง ตั้งใจทำให้ใช้ได้บน android, ios ทั้งคู่ แต่ดันพึ่ง community ให้ port มาทำงานบน android ได้ ตัวเองแค่คอยช่วยเหลือ
