หลังจากที่ปล่อยให้คู่แข่งตัดหน้าออก Battlefield 3 มาก่อนร่วม 2 อาทิตย์
บัดนี้ก็ถึงเวลาแก้แค้นจาก Activision Blizzard ด้วยการปล่อยของ "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" ซึ่งยอดขายในวันแรกของการจำหน่ายถล่มทลายถึง 9.3 ล้านชุดซึ่งในขณะที่ ยอดขาย Battlefield 3 สัปดาห์แรกทะลุ 5 ล้านชุด นับว่าเป็นการทุบสถิติใหม่ของซีรี่ย์ Call of Duty เลยทีเดียว
โดยแบ่งเป็น

  • เวอร์ชัน Xbox 360 54% (~5 ล้านชุด)
  • เวอร์ชัน PlayStation 3 42% (~4 ล้านชุด)
  • เวอร์ชัน PC และ Wii รวมกัน 4% (~370,000 ชุด)

โดยในภาคนี้ทำยอดขายได้ดีกว่าภาค Black Ops ถึง 33% และดีกว่าภาค Modern Warfare 2 มากถึง 55% สามารถดูกราฟได้จากแหล่งที่มา

ทำไมเกมสมัยนี้มันแพงจัง

เคยซื้อแต่ ราคาติดกล่อง 499 599 699 แต่ขายจริงก็ถูกกว่าราคาติดกล่องอีก

ว่าแต่ทำไม PC เอาไปรวมกับ Wii หว่า ยิ่งดูเป็นลูกเมียน้อยเข้าไปใหญ่

ยอดขายแผ่นของ PC ที่น้อยนิดเหตุผลน่าจะมาจาก ส่วนใหญ่ซื้อจาก Online Store อย่าง Steam ,คนเล่น PC ส่วนหนึ่งแบน Activision จากเหตุการณ์เมื่อปลายปีที่แล้ว ,และ Bittorrent และแผ่นผี
