ประเทศไทย : 13 ธันวาคม 2559- โซนี่ อินเตอร์แอคทีฟ เอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และเอเชีย ※1(SCEJA) จัดงาน “PlayStation® Awards 2016” ในวันที่ 13 ธันวาคม เพื่อมอบรางวัลให้แก่ผู้สร้างซอฟต์แวร์เกมในประเทศญี่ปุ่น และประเทศในภูมิภาคอาเซียนที่มอบประสบการณ์การเล่นเกมที่ยอดเยี่ยมที่สุดบนเครื่อง PlayStation®
งานมอบรางวัล “PlayStation® Awards” ได้จัดติดต่อกันทุกปีนับตั้งแต่มีการเปิดตัว PlayStation® เมื่อปี 2537 โดยมีเกมมากกว่า 320 เกมได้รับรางวัลนี้ไปแล้ว
การมอบรางวัลนี้เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแด่ผู้สร้างเกมที่มีความมุ่งมั่น โดยแบ่งรางวัลออกเป็น “Gold Prize”※2 มอบให้กับเกมที่มียอดขายทั้งที่เป็นแผ่นเกมและดาวน์โหลดมากกว่า 500,000 รายการ รางวัล “PlayStation™Network Award”※3 มอบให้กับเกม 3 เกมที่มียอดขายดีที่สุดผ่านทาง PlayStation™Network และรางวัล “Users’ Choice Awards※4 จะมอบให้กับเกมที่ได้รับการโหวตจากผู้เล่นมากที่สุด 10 อันดับแรก
นอกเหนือจากรางวัลที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น ปีนี้ได้มีการเพิ่มรางวัล “PlayStation®VR Special Award”※5 และ “Indie Special Award”※6 อีกสองรางวัล โดยรางวัล “PlayStation®VR Special Award” จะมอบให้กับเกม 5 เกม ที่มีส่วนร่วมในการเปิดตัว PlayStation®VR มากที่สุดทั้งในเอเชีย และประเทศญี่ปุ่น สำหรับรางวัล “Indie Special Award” มอบให้กับ 5 เกมอินดี้ ที่มีส่วนร่วมกับ PlayStation® title lineups
นอกจากงาน “PlayStation® Awards 2016” ที่จัดขึ้นในวันที่ 13 ธันวาคมแล้ว ในวันพุธที่ 14 ธันวาคมเป็นต้นไปจะมีการจัดแคมเปญเกมที่ได้รับรางวัล PlayStation®Awards 2016บน PlayStation®Store (PS Store) โดยในฮ่องกงและเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้จะมีการจัดทำหน้าเพจพิเศษเพื่อแนะนำเกมที่ได้รับรางวัลไว้บน PS Store ด้วย และพิเศษสุดสำหรับผู้ที่ดาวน์โหลดเกมที่ได้รับรางวัล โดยดาวน์โหลดระหว่างวันที่ 13-19 ธันวาคม จะได้รับ PlayStation™Network Prepaid Value เป็นส่วนลด※7 มาให้แฟนๆ ได้เพลิดเพลินไปกับเกมที่ได้รับรางวัลจาก PS Store

เกมที่ได้รับรางวัล: 10 เกมที่ได้รับการโหวตมากที่สุดจากผู้เล่นในประเทศญี่ปุ่น และเอเชีย

※2 For titles that were released on multiple PlayStation® platforms within Japan and other Asian regions, numbers of different platform versions were combined.
