ตอนที่เขียน Rails นี่ใช้ Textmate แต่หลังๆ ลองใช้ NetBeans 6 ซักพักแล้วชอบมาก ถ้าไม่ติดว่ามันระเบิดบ่อยมาก (ถ้าเป็นตอนนี้ก็คงต้อง rails-mode)

ตอนนี้ใช้ NetBean 6.1 ควบคู่กับ gEdit(แบบแปลงให้เหมือน TextMate แล้ว) ตอนที่แก้เล็กๆ น้อยๆ ใช้ gEdit มีความสุข เว้นแต่ว่าตอนนี้ยังทำให้มัน format code ให้ไม่ได้ แล้วก็ไม่มี local history etc.

ปกติใช้ Aptana Radrails แต่ตอนนี้ลองใช้ Netbeans ก็รู้สึกดี บางครั้งใช้ Vim เร็วดี

ถ้าต้องใช้ IDE ปกติจะใช้ Eclipse แต่เนื่องจาก Aptana Radrails ขยันปิดตัวเองเหลือเกิน เลยต้องหันไปใช้ NetBeans 6.1 + Eclipse key map ก็พบว่าใช้ได้เนียน ๆ
แต่ถ้าเป็น text editor ชอบ jEdit นะ

ไม่เคยเขียน Ruby แต่ Editor คู่ใจคือ Komodo Edit หรือไม่ก็ gedit
