There is a very effective way to get around world wide web censorship in Thailand:
If you are using Firefox, you can use Vidalia (which includes the Tor system).

This software bounces out to other countries and obscures the original source of web requests. The Vidalia software places a "switch" in the status bar of Firefox so you can turn it on and off as you require. "Vidalia runs on most platforms. . . including Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux."
