Senior Android developer at The Mobile Life [40k - 70k]

The Mobile Life is currently looking for an experienced Android Developer to work within our highly experienced team, where you will both teach and learn, in an innovative environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of key product features crucial to our success using your knowledge base and skill set.


 

Responsibilites

 
- Hands-on development: analyse product specifications, design implementations, write code and rapidly deliver Android app feature designs
- Contribute technical ideas and suggestions to enhance the direction of the product
 
 

Skills and background

 
- 2+ years experience in Java/Android development 
- Product-focused Android application development experience
- Impressive portfolio of consumer facing high-performance Android applications available in Google Play
- Advanced Android SDK and Java skills
- Strong knowledge of Android API capabilities at different levels, framework components

- Good understanding of design patterns and Object Oriented Programming
- Used to working with 3rd party libraries
- Used to working with (consuming) REST & SOAP APIs
- Preferably a university degree within computer science or similar
 
 

Personal qualities

 
- Self-motivated and able to achieve deadlines and work independently
- You love to write clean, reusable code and have a passion for mobile development
- Solid communication skills and team-working capability
- Positive and logical approach together with willingness to learn
- You have an eye for details and take pride in your work
- Enthusiastic and fun to work with
