-Pichet Ketruam returns as country manager, covering Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia-
Bangkok, – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and the world’s leading provider of critical infrastructure for information and communications technology systems, today announced plans to boost its presence in the Indochina region, which is a key market for the company in Asia Pacific. Leading this initiative is Pichet Ketruam, who has been named country manager in Indochina. Pichet will drive overall business strategy and growth in the region.
As country manager of Indochina, Pichet will oversee the Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia market units, with a focus on strengthening Emerson’s penetration in key industries such as telecommunications, collocation, healthcare and banking. Moreover, Pichet will also move to enhance the core capabilities of the entire Indochina organization, leveraging on best practices to boost human talent and improve the company’s overall service and product offerings in the region.
“Indochina shows tremendous growth potential, mainly attributed to the region’s improvements in political and economic stability and increasing openness for international trade. Thailand’s economic recovery spells an increase in IT spending of 10.6 percent or an estimated USD 13.4 billion mainly driven by the adoption of cloud, mobility and Big Data analytics. Myanmar on the other end poses greenfield opportunities, with a 15 percent year on year growth in the IT industry and a market forecasted to reach USD 268.5 million mainly attributed to telecommunication infrastructure development and business investments in IT,” says Pichet.

Pichet reports directly to Paul Churchill, vice president of Southeast Asia sales, Emerson Network Power in Asia.
Pichet is a seasoned business leader with diversified general management experience in the technology and engineering sector. As a managing director for the Emerson Network Power market unit from 2005 to 2009, he brought unparalleled growth to the business and organization. Most recently, Pichet was country manager with Invensys Thailand overseeing the country’s sales and operations and had worked with Philips, Motorola and Siemens prior to joining the company. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering from King Mongkut Institute of Technology and graduated with an MBA from the Thammasat University in Thailand.
Meanwhile, John Parikh, the former managing director for Indochina, has been named director of planning and sales productivity for Emerson Network Power in Asia. Under the new role, John will focus on developing and strengthening Emerson Network Power’s sales programs in the region.
