Playlab is looking to recruit an experienced Build Engineer that can assist us in build management and deployment.

Under the supervision of the Tech services lead, the Build Engineer manages build processes; file storage and software configuration tools and also maintains tools and scripts that automate the processes and enables development team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a solid and reliable automated build and continuous integration process for managing our games in development

• Assist team members in build deployment, receiving and running builds and troubleshooting issues to improve efficiency

• Manage software configuration tools

• Develop and maintain documentation of the build and release processes

• Establish script files to automate processes and improve overall efficiency in build management

Requirements

• Experience with automated build systems, deployment, automated testing systems and continuous integration (Jenkin experience is preferred)

• 1+ years of experience in a technical capacity within software development

• Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or related technical discipline

• Experience with source control software (Github, Bitbucket and similar)

• Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, Perl, Python or similar

• File management experience including the ability to work with and maintain large volume of files and arrange file storage to maximize efficiency of file usage

• Ability to analyze emerging issues and quickly deploy effective solutions

• Excellent communication skills with willingness to assist on all levels of emerging issues

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment (including remote colleagues from our Manila office)

• Passion and enthusiasm for video games is considered a plus
