We are looking for Thai Service Desk Operator with great English communication skills, customer service background and IT knowledge to support our customers worldwide.
Position Overview
Provide first line support for all customer facing services related to Maritime airtime, applications and IT services. Escalation of Support issues to the relevant departments.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for resolving questions/problems received via email, telephone, fax and telex
- Provide clear and concise instructions to customer queries
- Ensure all support requests are logged with a support ticket
- Monitoring incoming infrastructure alerts an escalation to the correct internal or external team
- Proactively follow up with vessels that are demonstrating unusual high airtime usage
- Inform the Account Manager and Engineering Manager when a Technician is reqiured to board a vessel
- Analyze the problems faced by the vessel and provide a report before the Engineer boards the vessel
- Support all software applications and airtime related services provided to Maritime customers (GlobalMail/Ipsignature/HMCmail – Horizon – Charting - Fleet Manager – list is not exhaustive; Customer applications upon request; Inmarsat/Iridium/VSAT and Thuraya equipment; and Forward non support requests to the correct departments)
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 1 year experience in an IT environment, preferably in a Maritime IT Support or Engineering capacity
- Proficient in Windows Operating Systems, Outlook, Exchange, MS Office suite
- Excellent English communications skills (Writing, Speaking, Listening, Comprehension)
- Able to work on a roster / shift
- Basic knowledge of Networks LAN/WAN/TCP-IP
- Understanding of communications technology
