Project Coordinator (PS Team)
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Coordinator provides general assistance to Project Managers and project teams.
The individual, under the guidance of a more Project Manager, can be independently responsible for the delivery of transactional project types, for example, a standard router installation or mass logistical deployments.
The individual provides supervised general administrative assistance to Project Managers, and the PMO and project teams regarding project support activities.
These activities will include, but not limited to:
• Project administration – the project coordinator performs all administration functions related to projects
• Documentation and report preparation – the project coordinator collates and prepares all project related documentation and reports
• Meeting arrangement and documentation – the project coordinator provides general administration support, they co-ordinate meetings with a variety of stakeholders, including vendors, and managers and book site assessment, meeting and take minute of meeting.
• Resource allocation – assisting with the allocation of project resources
Project Co-ordinators demonstrate an understanding of the project environment and stakeholder interests. The individual assists in setting up operational structures, for example, project accounting and environments for project and solution collateral, according to Dimension Data, Project methodology and standards.
The individual is able to liaise with clients and capable of managing several transactional engagements simultaneously.
The individual has a proactive approach, pays attention to detail, has good verbal and written communication skills and has a service oriented aptitude.
The Project co-ordinator needs to have a fundamental understanding of business and project processes, structures and control requirements.
QUALIFICATION
• Experienced in IT
• At least 3 years in Project coordinate
• Has decision making skills and assertiveness
• Good interpersonal skills including initiative, confidence, responsiveness and flexibility
• Good analytical thinking, human relations and communication skills
