COGNOS TESTER
Job description
• Design and testing Business Intelligence solutions, including
standardized reports, dashboards, self-service capabilities, and
other deliverables utilizing the IBM Cognos suite
• Conduct BI solution requirements working sessions with business
users.
• Visualize, develop, testing and validate reports, using Reports
Studio, Query Studio, utilizing the framework model.
• Enhance the existing framework model or develop new models as
needed.
• Testing and Analyze Cognos issues or work with partner to
resolve the problem.
• Plan, impact analysis and maintain upgrades, patches, and hot
fixes for Cognos
• Identify new ways to present information to business partners to
make consumption more impactful, including the development of
small scale proofs of concepts and prototypes
Qualifications:-
• Bachelors or Master degree in computer engineering, computer
science, management information system or related field preferred.
• Experience 3+ years in IBM Cognos suite including: Framework
Modeling, Query Studio, Report Studio
• Experience in dimensional modeling techniques.
• Experience with diagnosing and improving performance of Cognos BI
solutions
• Good Knowledge of Oracle Query and PL/SQL.
• Good Knowledge of Data warehousing.
• Experience in Oracle performance tuning is a plus.
• Good Presentation and Meeting Skills
• Good logical and analytical skills.
• Good communication skill in English, both verbal and written
• Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, strong work ethic,
and willingness to put forth extra effort when necessary without
being asked
• Knowledge in Administration of Cognos Business Intelligence Suite
is a plus
