New opening: Lead Client-Side Developer at MAQE Bangkok

This is Jeff. He'™s Canadian. He loves small dogs, craft beer, and client-side development - although not necessarily together or in that particular order. Jeff has been Lead Dev at MAQE since 2011. But he has, unfortunately, decided to leave MAQE and go work for an startup.

We wish him well on his new endeavors. But the show must go on, and so we'™re now looking to hire ourselves a brand-spanking new lead dev; someone that can help us stay front-and-center on new client-side developments, help us create fantastic user experiences, and crack bad jokes whilst doing it*.

Sound interesting? Read on.

ABOUT US

MAQE is a small but growing product development agency based in Bangkok, Thailand. We help a roster of international clients create all manners of web applications - ranging from small MVPs to scalable systems. Our goal: to have fun doing cutting-edge work that actually makes a difference.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries, plus bonus scheme
  • Open plan office right next to Ploenchit BTS
  • Agile and efficient work processes

  • Flexible work hours (e.g., 9AM-11AM to 6PM-8PM)
  • Relaxed atmosphere, little to no overtime
  • Lots of creative freedom and responsibility

ABOUT YOU

Regardless of age, gender, nationality, and education, you've got both hard and soft skills. That is, you know how to do things, but you also know how to get things done:

What we offer:

  • An uncanny ability to explain, in plain English, complex tools and techniques to clients co-workers alike.
  • A willingness to help foster professional growth, teamwork, and happiness in client-side team and beyond.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Javascript frameworks such as Ember.js or Angular.js.
  • Solid grasp of responsive layouts, browser behavior, and cross-browser issues and solutions.

Good jokes are OK too. Great ones more so.
