Java Software Engineer

Job Description

• Develop Java-based technologies framework in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
• Responsible for sub system architecture and system design.
• Help our Director of Software Architecture refine the overall architecture and system specification.
• Performs software engineering tasks like change management, features tracking, and quality control management.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent (no or little experience is O.K.).
• Working knowledge of Java application development.
• Experience in AJAX techniques and frameworks
• Constructive attitude, and willingness to work as a part of a global team.
• Experience developing on both Unix and Windows platforms.
• Self starter, good interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.
• Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Good English skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills and Experience (Optional)

• Experience with Object oriented design and analysis – UML preferred.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Java IDE - , application servers, authentication products, directory service, enterprise security, TCP/IP security
• Experience in Distributed Computing
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing web based application and contents.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SQL server) and ability to design DB schemas and interface with it using ODBC/JDBC.

QA Engineer

The QA Engineer will be responsible for assessing the quality of Throughwave's projects. The area of work will include security, high availability, massive performance and ease of use to administrators.

The successful candidate will have experience in a time-to-market sensitive environment, and will be adept at risk assessment and test prioritization. Candidate will be an independent self-starter who can multi-task across projects and effectively organize under tight deadlines.

This position will report to QA Director and responsible for collection of quality data for analysis, monitor, control and ensure the products are meeting the company and customer specification and requirement. Conduct the problem analysis for the root cause, identify the potential problem solving alternatives and recommend the best possible solutions for the improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering/Science or related fields
• Good command in English both spoken and written
• Good problem solving skill and knowledge in Quality Control concept, analytical skills and perform a quality improvement plan
• A team player and good communication and interpersonal skills

Unix platform engineer

Throughwave (Thailand) is looking for a highly motivated Platform System Engineer to help in our next generation web service and application framework that allow both system and user collaboration anytime anywhere.

This position is suit to someone with background in both Unix and Programming, but also good for someone from Unix background that wants to expand his/her career path.

Responsibilities:

• Configure Unix and Network sub-system.
• Perform software engineering tasks like change management, features tracking, and quality control management.
• Assist our engineering team on Unix System Programming and configuration.

Requirement

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent (no or little experience is O.K.).
• Knowledge on Unix System fundamental.
• Experienced programming in Java, C, or C++.
• Experienced with Unix shell script.
• Experience with Unix system administrator, especially Solaris, BSD, or Linux.
• WAN and LAN networking design and administrator.
• Understanding of various networking topics such as, DHCP, e-mail operations, DNS, and VPN.
• Constructive attitude, and willingness to work as a part of a global team.
• Self starter, good interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.
• Good English skills, both written and verbal.
