- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, IT or relate field.
- At least 5 years work experience in web-based enterprise software testing.
- Strong experience with software testing following principles of agile software development methodology or Agile Testing.
- Strong experience with skills in analyzing XML request / response formats, and writing SQL queries to access database / data tables to ensure values are correct in the back-end.
- Very high knowledge in writing SQL queries to test backend, and digging deep into data tables to ensure values are correct in the database.
- Strong experience with testing web-based application, and experience with back-end testing.
- Experienced in working in offshore environment, and/or with offshore teams on software development projects. Therefore, constant communication, and collaboration with team members is essential.
- Good written, and oral communication skills in English.
Job Description :
- Conduct detailed testing of story / bug ticket based on approved test scripts.
- Conduct regression testing on staging, and production environments for each software release cycle.
- Get any details as necessary from Developers at MS, or from other offshore resources in India, Russia, UK, to ensure that scope of testing is fully understood.
- Attend weekly QA meetings with IT Manager, and raise questions / issues to resolve with regards to QA team, and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with Developer resources to understand how the story unit testing is conducted.
- Work closely with BA resource to ensure full understanding on how the story should be tested, and be able to provide draft test script for BA to review / confirm.
- Assist QA Manager in providing time estimation of QA tickets for each software release cycle.
- Attend conference call / webex with IT Manager to seek clarification of ticket when required.
- Communicate testing progress to IT Manager, QA Manager, and raise any alerts to discuss about tickets during daily scrum, or weekly meeting, or at any time whenever there is any question.
- Resource will need to communicate daily with Manager in London, and review requirements in English with other team resources.
- Producing test scripts in English as necessary based on project / ticket requirement.
- Be able to work with all QA resources in team, and assist in testing as and when necessary.
