Job Purpose

Develop and deliver successful implementations of Integration work (eCommerce back-end service) to meet customer requirements.

Principal Job Objectives

1. Deliver Integration work which meet customer (internal and external) requirements

2. Play a part to deliver improvement for Build & Support team

3. Perform other duties as required to assist in delivering a professional Integration service to the business.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in software development as both programmer and system analyst, gained in the eCommerce sector (or sector with very similar IT demands).
• Understand well in OOP concept.
• Perl experience is an advantage.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.

Essential Technical Skills

• Perl or Any strong Object-Oriented  Background (Java, C++, PHP)
• Familiar with Object-Oriented coding style
• SQL understanding
• Experience coding with Perl (cgi-script, shell-script, OOP) is a huge advantage
• Experience working with Linux
• Version Control System (e.g. CVS, GIT)
• Apache & mod_perl
• PerlPOD
• XML/XSL
• SOAP
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Refactoring & Software Component Testing

Essential Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Able to work under tight schedule.
• Able to operate as a team player.
• Self-motivated.
• Extremely flexible and adept at managing change request and schedule change.
• Good communication skill in English.
