This workshop provides an understanding of Big Data Technology and Its ecosystems and how to apply in the enterprise. The workshop will describe Hadoop technology and how to install it on a local system and using in the public cloud. It will describe the architecture of Hadoop focusing on HDFS and MapReduce. The workshop will focus on working with the Hadoop public cloud on Amazon Web Services (Elastic Map Reduuce). The workshop will provide a deep study on Java APIs for MapReduce programming with hand-on exercises on Amazon Elastic Map Reduce.
