To support our global service base expansion in Thailand, we are looking for qualified individuals to join our dynamic team in the following position :
Help Desk Technician
Reporting to the Help Desk Supervisor, the Help Desk Technician is responsible for maintaining the high service level of our IT help desk, serving globally both our own users, customers and vendors. This position will be exposed to many challenges and technologies ranging from PC issues to network problems to large E-commerce systems.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to users in a timely manner and respond to users’ concerns via our in house support system or other means, such as telephone and e-mail.
Provide maintenance and support to various IT systems, including desktops/laptops, LANs and servers.
Authoring and maintaining IT related manuals.
Provide on-the-job IT related training to users.
Perform other functions or projects, which may be assigned by the Help -Desk Supervisor, Manager, or Coordinator.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer or IT related field or similar work experience.
Entry level or 0-3 years experience in IT support, call center or related field.
Experience in ticket support system or remote desktop support using VNC or Secure Shell will be an advantage.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows (2000/XP/7), Microsoft Office Suite, Ubuntu, Red Hat or CentOS servers
Analytical and Networking skills, TCP/IP and Internet technologies in general.
Good communication, customer-oriented, negotiation skill, logical thinking, service-minded, and enthusiastic.
Good command of the English language, both writing and speaking.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are the norm.
Ability to work in shift / flexible hours and holidays
Desired Skills/Education:
OpenOffice suite.
Linux/Ubuntu.
Travels within Asia and to other regions may be required on occasion.
