Citibank receives 2012 AMCHAM CSR Excellence Silver Status Recognition Award
For the third consecutive year, Citi Thailand, Mr. Darren Buckley, Country Head and Citi Country Officer, Citi Thailand received the “CSR Excellence Recognition 2012” award which is qualified as Silver Status (winner from 2010 to 2012) from AMCHAM Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence (ACE) presented by Ms. Kristie Kenny, U.S. Ambassador and Mr. Joe Mannix, AMCHAM President. The award was the result of Citibank commitment as a responsible finance and good corporate citizenship.
The ACE program was established to raise awareness of corporate social responsibility, share best practices, and provide recognition to AMCHAM member companies in Thailand who have strong commitment and dedication to community investment activities. To qualify for an ACE recognition, a firm’s CSR program must receive high-marks in four categories: (1) Attention to business objectives and societal needs; (2) Creation of long-term economic and social gains; (3) Communication and sharing of best practices; (4) Program sustainability. Special designations were given to firms that have received the ACE award for three straight years (Silver Award), firms with excellence in creativity and innovation (Creative Partnerships), and for Small and Medium Sized Business (SMEs).
