i can not change my keyboard layout

hi everyone

i have a problem help me please

i am thai just play ubuntu 3 days i use linux mint bea (ubuntu 6.1 edgy)

i can not type in thai after i install xgl i can not chang my keyboard layout

from us 105 -key to thai

what i must do ?

i had read from many forums but can not help me

some said to use xmodmap but not work........ caplock does not work too

ลองดูใน System -> Preferences -> Keyboard ในแท็บ Layouts ว่ามี Thailand TIS-820.2538 หรือเปล่า ถ้าไม่มีก็เพิ่มเข้าไป

ส่วนปุ่มที่ใช้สลับภาษาต้องดูในแท็บ Layout Options ตรงส่วน Group Shift/Lock behavior ว่าเป็นปุ่มอะไร

before i install xgl i can change en to thai thai to en but

after i insall xgl i can not chang en 2 thai thai2 en

so i want superman to help me !!!!!!
