A presale and system engineer at Vizrt works as part of a project team and reports to the project manager. The overall responsibility is to deliver high quality systems to our customers. This position carries responsibilities in Linux Administration, Software Development and Support. The successful candidate will work independently and take full responsibility for ensuring that the tasks assigned to him/her are done on time, to a high quality standard. Tasks could include; installation, configuration, documentation and bug fixing, as well as any other tasks related towards making a successful system go live.
Location will be Vizrt offices in suburban Bangkok.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and test software in accordance with the system design
- Installation and testing of systems at customer sites
- Customer specific software development – Perl
- Participation in system design sessions
- Production of technical documentation
- Provide support of customer systems
Essential Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years Linux / Apache Admin
- 3 – 5 years software engineering experience - Perl
- Database experience in Oracle / DB2 / MySQL / PostgreSQL highly desirable
- Knowledge MAM/DAM products a strong advantage
- Experience in hierarchical storage management software such as TSM would -also be an advantage
- Team Player
- Fluent spoken and written English essential
- University educated
