Key Responsibility Areas

Lead a team of Engineers supporting the Data Centre and Network Operations in a proactive and professional approach with the goal of enabling the businesses in both their current operations and supporting their growth projections. You must ensure the team under you will

• Interface with our customers and internal engineering teams to maintain a first class service
  

• Proactively manage day to day support issues to resolution
  

• Provide root cause analysis data to Engineering in relation to networking issues within the global network and follow to resolution
  

• Interface regularly and work closely with other members of the Global DC and Networking teams
  

  • Data Centre responsibilities include such items as server racking, PDU/UPS installation and maintenance; monitoring power consumption and cooling, arranging and managing circuit cross connects within the data centres, asset management and capacity planning. Thorough documentation of rack elevations, server locations etc must be maintained. You would be working closely with the businesses to support delivery and installation of their equipment, as well as managing the requests that come in via the global ticketing system.

  • Network Operations responsibilities include: administration, maintenance and support of the availability, performance and security of the networks through managing the company firewalls (Cisco and Juniper) and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF). The goal is to ensure the highest possible availability of the global network, including support of the corporate offices, branch offices and call centres.

Required Skills:

* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent operational background in networks and infrastructure, particularly Data Centre operations
* Demonstrable experience in implementing proper operational processes and procedures
* Knowledge of TCP/IP
* Knowledge of SNMP
* 5+ years in an operational role
* 5+ years in a global organization
