Platform Architecture

Responsibilities:

• Based on technical consultant design specifications, configure existing capabilities to deliver the required solutions for the TRM development groups.
• Be part of a technical support group to provide 3rd level support of Platform Architecture in Thailand.
• Collaborate with Platform Architecture peers and global TRM development groups to provide consultancy and solutions
• Based on design specifications develop, test and support new Platform capabilities.

Support / Maintenance / Quality Management

• Develop and maintain standards for Solaris and Linux operating system and applications in order to enable Thomson Reuters continue delivering services to its customers.
• Automate installation and deployment or standard Operation Systems and Solaris/Linux-based applications to accelerate Operational deployment and development.
• Set up Platform development environment - both physical and virtual - in order to optimize resources and expedite development processes.
• Integrate Platform solution packages with related technologies such as network, storage, and management systems.

• Develop standards for other Operating Systems and applications throughout software development lifecycle.

  Qualifications

• Experienced in developing/supporting Solaris within medium-to-large enterprise-wide infrastructures. Including installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of O/S

• Working practical knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Experience in security lockdown of Solaris and/or Linux builds.
• Experienced in supporting/configuring hardware (standalone and clustered), peripherals, HP Rack/Blade servers, and IBM BladeCenter.
• Practical knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting, or Perl.
• Strong communication skills in English language. Must be able to provide consultant to overseas customers and lead teleconference.
• Experienced in Oracle will be an advantage.
