Project Overview
Sales & Trading Desktop group is looking at developing a new QA group in Bangkok to face the growing demand on test activity for strategic Markets deliverables.
The Automation QA engineer will be responsible for producing automated test solutions for functional and technical testing.The Automation QA engineer will work closely with functional QA teams and development groups to build creative automation test solutions for windows-based and web-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the QA leader to define test approach
- Create and maintain test plans and test cases/scripts
- Produce automated test scripts and test them
- Help analyse the results of testing
If experienced / When more experienced: - Review automation requirements for completeness and testability with functional QA teams and development teams
- Define test approach and strategies for a group of given components
- Provide and review estimates on workload and schedule
- Ensure adherence by self and more junior team members to manual or automated test processes
- Manage and maintain test systems including installations and upgrades of software to be tested
- Report and track defects through completion
- Coach more junior members of the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineer, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 1 year in automation testing
- Proven experience in implementing automation testing of windows based application
- Experience of using Quality Center or Test Director software
- Experience of using Quick Test Pro software or similar script based automation tool
- Experience of using Visual Basic
- Solid technical understanding of Operating Systems and browsers
- MS Office and especially Excel usage experience
- Energetic and able to work in dynamic environments
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
