Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation and 2nd level technical support of the Reuters Market Data System infrastructure (RMDS) hosted in Geneva and London based Thomson Reuters datacenters.
• Optimization of the RMDS infrastructure
• Implementation & enhancement of the existing monitoring rules based on TIBCO Hawk / Reuters Management System.
• Maintain strong links with 1st Level groups.
• Provide out of hours on-call support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineer, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in supporting medium/large scale infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of market data usage and environments.
- Good knowledge of Solaris 8, 10, RMDS, TRIARCH, Tibco Hawk, Tibco Rendezvous, Shell scripting (csh, bash).
- Knowledge of Solaris Jumpstart, Perl, RMS, DBU, DACS, NDS, iFP, Windows 2003 are preferable.
- Strong experience of TCP/IP networking including multicast routing.
