ABC Tech (http://www.abctech-thailand.com) is a newly established subsidiary of the Norwegian web portal ABC Startsiden AS and the media group A-Pressen.
As a System Developer you will work with middleware and backend solutions on various applications and products. The majority of the products you will encounter are written in Java, but some are written in PHP as well. You will be collaborating with developers in Norway to deliver development goals on shared sprints.
As a Senior Developer you are additionally expected to take a leading role locally with extra focus on communication and shared understanding across a distributed team of the tasks at hand and how they are implemented. You should have a high level of proficiency in Java. In general, we expect candidates to excel in their fields. If you have graduated from master with excellent grades, or have solid experience and are amongst the best you know in your field, you really should talk to us. Experience with mobile solutions and applications is a plus for all positions.
Successful candidates are likely to meet several of the following requirements:
- Excellent records from higher education
- Significant experience in developing for web environments, and a understanding of HTML and CSS
- Good understanding of the HTTP protocol, HTTP headers, response codes and standards in general
- Experience with automated testing (unit, regression and integration testing) or test-driven development
- Experience with webapp containers, particularly Jetty
- Good communication skills
- Experience with search and filtering systems, like Solr
- Open minded and eager to learn
- Experience with Java, PHP, C++ and/or Javascript
- Experience with frameworks like Spring, ORMs like Hibernate, integration frameworks like Camel is a big plus
- Familiarity with IDEs like Netbean, Eclipse or IntelliJ
- Have initiative
- Good command of English (Toeic 750 up)
