As a system developer you will work with the backend of various applications and products. Most products you encounter will be written in object oriented Perl. You will be collaborating with developers in Norway to deliver development goals on shared sprints.
As a senior developer you are additionally expected to take a leading role locally with extra focus on communication and shared understanding across the distributed team of the tasks at hand and how they are implemented.
In depth knowledge of Perl is not required, but excellent programming skills in Java or PHP is a very good starting point.
In general, we expect candidates to excel in their fields. If you have graduated from master with excellent grades, or you have solid experience and are amongst the best you know in your field, you really should talk to us. Experience with mobile solutions and applications are a plus for all positions.
Successful candidates are likely to meet several of the following requirements:
- Excellent records from higher education
- Significant experience in developing for web environments
- Experience with automated testing (unit, regression and integration testing) or test-driven development
- Good communication skills
- Experience with search and filtering systems
- Open minded and eager to learn
- Experience with Perl, PHP, Java, C++ and/or Javascript
- Experience with frameworks like Catalyst, ORMs like DBIx::Class, and Template-Toolkit a big plus
- Alternative storage backends like couchdb, mongodb or similar, a major plus
- Domain driven design experience and understanding
- Have initiative
- Good command of English (Toeic 750 up)
