European Mid-Tier (EMT) is a proposition for clients providing “view and do” capabilities. It aims to provide a Reuters Managed solution without the costs implied by client-site deployment of applications and infrastructure. EMT is targeted as a hosted solution for the market and can take advantage of a local point of presence or an existing IDN and RMDS infrastructure in order to optimize communication costs.
The position will take care of some part of EMT and product such as RWM, EMT.net agents, etc.
Responsibilities
• Typically works on one project at a time and as a member of the project team(s) or as part of a team on multiple developments.
• Accountable for the quality of own work, delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes and focused on internal and/or external customer needs.
• Participating in project planning sessions with team members to analyse development requirements.
• Some roles are responsible for co-ordinating the work of others such as QA, 3rd level Support, Operation, etc.
• Developing and integrating applications per written specifications.
• May be responsible for writing basic design specifications.
• Translating technical requirements into application code and modules.
• Making modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and industry standards.
• Unit testing and implementing application modules they have developed or modified, ensuring application meets needs of client and business.
• Takes part in reviews of own work. Takes part in reviews of the work of colleagues.
• Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of Java and C# skill especially Java Applet.
• Developing Web Application and Web Service such as ASP.Net, AJAX, Java Script, HTML, DHTML, etc.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Familiar with IDE tool such as eclipse, Visual studio, etc.
• Understand Development and software process.
