Typically works as a member of project team(s) varied by project assignment and accountable for assessing quality of own and team work, perform moderate to complex coding, debugging and coordinating work within team or cross function staff to ensure applications being modified/developed meet needs of business

Key Responsibilities:

• Participating in project planning sessions with team members to analyze Development requirements

• Developing and integrating applications per written specifications and involving in final design specifications and scope for each project

• Provides guidance to junior team members in translating technical requirements into application code and modules

• Making moderate to complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and industry standards

• Assisting project team in estimating effort required of each work and supporting team in the preparation of status updates for projects

• Unit testing and implementing application modules being developed or modified, ensuring application meets needs of business

• Performing operating software impact assessment e.g. Window OS vulnerability assessment etc. to ensure the patch will not adversely impact functionality

• Provides assistance in researching new and emerging technologies, works with development team in HK to evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies and platforms for local development use

• Provides guidance and advice in particular Technical areas to influence service quality improvement

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer science/engineering or any related development field

• 1-2 years for Junior, 3-5 years for senior development experience with formal practice of software development lifecycle

• Knowledge in Securities business (Stocks) is an advantage.

• Hand-on experience in C++ and/or.NET and/or Java.

• Experience in Database Design, PL/SQL is a plus.

• Posses sound technical writing skills in English

• Has a systematic and analytical approach

• Works as part of a team, completing varied work assignments
