ขอรบกวนถามเกี่ยวกับ Qt LGPL version ครับ
LGPL หมายถึง เราสามารถ Download Qt Library มาใช้เขียนโปรแกรมได้ฟรีๆโดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย
และสามารถแจกจ่ายโปรแกรมที่เราเขียนให้กับบุคคลอื่นได้ แต่ห้ามขาย และต้องแจกจ่าย Source code
ไปพร้อมกับตัวโปรแกรมด้วยใช่ไหมครับ?

ผมไม่ทราบคำตอบ แต่อยากถามด้วยได้มั้ยครับ :)
การที่ QT เป็น LGPL แล้วมันจะส่งผลให้ PYQT เป็น LGPL ด้วยมั้ยครับ

ตอบกระทู้ ขายได้ครับ แต่ต้องเผยแพร่ source code ของ Qt (ถ้ามีคนขอ) หรือถ้าแก้อะไรใน Qt ก็ต้องเผยแพร่ครับ
ตอบข้างบน ไม่เปลี่ยนโดยอัตโนมัติครับ เคยเป็นยังก็เป็นอย่างนั้นต่อไปเรื่อยๆ ยกเว้นว่าเจ้าของจะเปลี่ยนเอง

ขยายความคุณ kittipat อีกนิดนึงคือ
ตัว Qt Library เอง พูดให้เข้าใจแบบง่ายๆ เลยก็คือ คุณใช้ได้เลย ฟรี
ซึ่งตัวงานของคุณเองที่ไปเรียกใช้ Library จะไม่ถูกบังคับโดยตัว License ให้ต้องเปิดเผยโค้ดไปพร้อมกับการ Distribute ตรงนี้เองที่ LGPL ต่างกับ GPL
เว้นแต่ว่าเมื่อไหร่ที่คุณได้มีการปรับเปลี่ยน หรือพัฒนาตัว Library เพิ่ม คุณจะต้องเปิดเผยโค้ดหรือ Patch นั้นๆ
ส่วนเรื่องการนำไปใช้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ ก็ไม่ได้มีข้อจำกัดอะไร สามารถทำได้
ส่วน PyQt ยังเป็น GPL และทั่วที่อ่านจาก Mailing list แล้วดูเหมือน Phil ที่เป็นเจ้าของโครงการ ยังไม่มีทีท่าว่าจะเปลี่ยน License แต่อย่างใด
