Software Engineer - SE Asia (Thai) - Shanghai

This position is based in Shanghai, China.

Our projects include working on advanced information-retrieval algorithms, massive scalability and storage solutions, and large-scale applications that enrich the user experience. We also work extensively on networking systems, advertising systems and complex transaction systems in consumer applications.

The role: Software Engineer - SE Asia (Thai)
As a Google Software Engineer, you will be part of a world-class Engineering team that aims to solve the most fascinating and difficult problems in computer science. You will have great opportunities to make a positive difference in tens of millions of lives every day. You will be working on problems that span all areas of computer science, including cutting-edge information retrieval algorithms, scalability issues in efficient, reliable access to massive data structures, user interface challenges, and a variety of novel product features.

Responsibilities:
Bring and localize existing Google products to Southeast Asia.
Develop new products & features for users in Southeast Asia.

Requirements:
BS/MS/Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of software development experience, with an enthusiasm for solving interesting problems.
Extensive experience with designing and programming distributed systems.
Substantial knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
Strong C/C++/Java programming skills.
Fluency in English (reading and writing).
Fluent Thai language skill is a must.
