โอ้ น่าสนใจมาก ไปเจอมาได้ไงครับเนี่ย เดือนที่แล้วนั่งงม XMPP กับ AMQP อยู่ตั้งนาน มีไอเดียจะทำแอพแชทอยู่เหมือนกัน สุดท้ายก็เลยได้ serialized* โปรเจคท์ไว้อีกแล้ว สงสัยได้กลับไปงมต่อ

Miller was just hired as chief scientist at Layer, a San Francisco company that he says could have even bigger implications than Jabber. Layer, in a nutshell, lets any developer add messaging capabilities to their app with 10 lines of code. So, instead of spending months building out servers, encryption, push notifications, voice calls, video calls, offline messages, and syncing as most messaging startups like MessageMe have done, Layer does all the dirty work.

คือลองทดสอบบนสมาร์ทโฟนขนาดราคาถูกดู(นั่นหมายถึง possible base user) ยังฟังรู้เรื่องเกือบหมด อันไหนไม่รู้เรื่องก็เอาฮาไป(อาจจะตลก-สนุกดีเหมือนกัน เหมือนพวกโปรแกรมช่วยแก้คำผิด process text ออกมาเพี้ยนๆ)
เหลือที่ต้องทำเองล้วนๆ คือแมพ speech-user แล้วค่อยต่อยอดเอา text-from-speech ที่แปลงแล้วมา process อีกที(อันนี้แหละที่อยากทำจริงๆ #งานมโนขอให้บอก)

เอ้อ ตอบคำถามล่างหน่อย ถ้าเป็น platform เหมือนอย่าง Layer นี้ ที่ดูมาก็มี ejabberd น่าสนใจสุดครับ แต่ไม่มีให้เริ่มต้นแบบฟรี WhatsApp ตอนเริ่มก็ใช้ตัวนี้เลย

ส่วน AMQP ที่เป็น platform นี่ไม่เห็นเลย แต่ที่ผมลองงมคือ RabbitMQ
AMQProtocol มันอารมณ์ task queue มีการทดสอบใช้งานรับส่ง Messaging แล้วที่ระดับ 1 ล้านข้อความต่อวินาที 8หมื่นล้านต่อวัน มากกว่า WhatsApp iMessage SMS(ในUSA) รวมกัน(ขณะนั้น) บน Google Compute Engine ก็ไม่มีปัญหาอะไร ตอนนั้นผมเลยเลือกศึกษา AMQP บวกกับ Documentation ด้วย แต่สุดท้ายไม่ไหวอยู่ดี one man force
