We are looking for highly talented individuals for our Bangkok based IT Services subsidiary (located within walking distance from BTS Phloen Chit) that will develop, enhance and maintain PrimAir internal applications related to Capacity Planning, Fare Management, Revenue Management and Optimization as well as Revenue Accounting.

Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Responsibilities:

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will:

• Participate in all phases of the software development life-cycle – requirements, architecture/​design, implementation, testing and release of software applications.
• Participate in all Release Planning and Project Review meetings to coordinate scheduling of QA and UAT testing required.
• Work closely with the Development team to insure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
• Develop plans, objectives and schedules for executing comprehensive functional, integration, regression, backend, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop new test cases of significant complexity for both positive and negative testing of new modules, applications, GUIs or components thereof including third party interfaces.
• Execute application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing for business applications in a client/​server environment.
• Communicate test progress, test results, metrics and other relevant testing information to appropriate project stakeholders.
• Participate in post-production implementation verification.
• Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Ensure all development tasks have been successfully completed meeting previously defined requirements, company and industry standards and approve all items in a product release or any other patches, error resolutions or changes that are being provided to internal customers.
• Introduce new procedures to allow for automated regression testing of applications.
• Implement and manage formal user acceptance test procedures for applications or releases for applications being made available to other PrimAir business units for UAT testing.
• Manage and keep Change Logs of all release, changes and patches made to all test and production environments.
• Effectively communicate to the project managers as needed of accomplishments of tasks and/or issues completing a task.

Qualifications:

Required Technical Skills

• Understanding of Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing methodologies, policies and procedures and previous experience defining test strategies.
• Strong backend and Windows application testing experience with ability to proactively identify problems.
• Heavy SQL experience, must be able to write complex SQL queries for MS SQL databases and able to perform code review.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to analyze complex system requirements and define test cases.
• Strong data analysis and data verification abilities.
• Experience writing data driven unit and volume tests for batch and real-time data processing involving large quantities of data.
• Extensive documentation skills and advanced experience writing test cases including work flows and business rules, preparation of test data.
• Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access and interpretation skills for VBA code for both in particular.
• Hands-on experience working closely with application development teams on-site and overseas.

Optional Technical Skills

• Previous experience writing technical design documentation.
• Airline IT experience in general (Reservations and Distribution, Fares and Pricing, Revenue Management, Revenue Accounting) and with Sabre global distribution system or Avantik passenger services system by Bravo Passenger Solutions in particular.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008R2 and TSQL (views, triggers, stored procedures, functions, etc.).
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture based principles.
• Experience with MySabre Scribe scripts.
• Knowledge and experience of test automation methodologies and tools
• Knowledge and experience of web service testing via tools such as SoapUI
• Knowledge and experience of performance and scalability tools such as NUnit for Microsoft .NET, .NET Framework performance counters and/or CLR Profiler

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• A minimum of five (5) years of software QA experience within a technical environment.
• Ability to work in a high paced, multiple vendor global environment
• Previous experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment

Other Requirements:

• The candidate must be a Thai national
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness and ability to travel to the United States as and when required
• Willingness and ability to occasionally participate on conference calls with US based staff outside normal hours (early evenings)
