Principal Job Objectives:

• Reviewing requirements documentation and translating in to a solution design and subsequently working within a team to deliver on the requirements within time, scope, cost and quality constraints.
• Developing web sites primarily using a combination of HTML, CSS and Java Script. All code must follow defined coding guidelines.
• Develop web sites which utilize Venda Proprietary HTML tags which access the functionality within the Venda platform.
• Develop web sites integrating with a variety of popular third party services, such as Google Maps, Social Networks, Google Analytics, Coremetrics.
• Develop web sites which are compliant with all major browsers, IE, FireFox, Chrome, Safari as well as mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
• Deliver optimized code, design to ensure minimal file size for best end user experience.
• Unit test, support team leads in developing quotes and schedules.
• Substitute for team leads on a temporary basis when required (e.g. team lead is on vacation).
• Support ongoing improvement within the team, including managing small internal projects or process improvement initiatives.

Essential Technical Skills:

• At least four years experience in web programming
• Previous work experience using a responsive framework (Foundation, Bootstrap or other) is critical.
• Previous work experience using a Version Control (GIT,CVS, SVN or Source Safe) is critical.
• Previous work experience integrating with third party service provides is desired (e.g. Google Analyics, Facebook Login, Paypal, Power Reviews etc).
• Previous work experience around optimizing sites for SEO is desired.
• Previous work experience using different project management methodologies is desired (Agile vs waterfall vs test driven vs iterative)
• Knowledge of Unix command is a required.
• Ability to communicate (Read, Listen, Speak, Write) in English is critical
• Ability to work with others in a team focused on a common goal
• Ability to use creative thinking to produce improvements, innovations or new solutions
• Ability to transform ideas in to delivered end products.
• Ability and willingness to take ownership and responsibility for actions and outputs
• Ability to convey ideas and technical concepts to other team members in an easy to understand manner.
