จากบทความ ประสบการณ์ Google Summer of Code 2008 ทำให้คนสนใจภาษา Groovy กันพอสมควร ทางคุณ cblue เลยติดต่อคุณ Guillaume Laforge ผู้จัดการโครงการ Groovy มาให้สัมภาษณ์กัน
Guillaume Laforge เป็นชาวฝรั่งเศส (ถ้าอยากเห็นหน้าดูภาพประกอบ เป็นหนึ่งในผู้เริ่มโครงการ Groovy และปัจจุบันดำรงตำแหน่ง VP of Technology ของบริษัท G2One ซึ่งเป็นผู้พัฒนาและเจ้าของโครงการ Groovy
Laforge ถือเป็นผู้นำของโครงการ Groovy เท่าที่ผมค้นดู มีงานไหนเกี่ยวกับ Groovy พี่แกรับเชิญไปพูดหมด แถมยังเป็นผู้ร่วมแต่งหนังสือ Groovy in Action ดังนั้นถามอะไรเกี่ยวกับภาษา Groovy พี่แกตอบได้หมดแน่นอน รวมไปถึงเฟรมเวิร์คที่เกี่ยวข้องกันคือ Grails ด้วย
นานๆ ทีจะมีแขกรับเชิญระดับโลกมาให้สัมภาษณ์กัน ดังนั้นขอเชิญชวนผู้อ่าน Blognone มาช่วยกันตั้งคำถามเยอะๆ ครับ จะตั้งเป็นภาษาไทยหรืออังกฤษก็ได้ตามสะดวก เรื่องการแปลทั้งแปลไปและแปลกลับเดี๋ยวผมจัดการต่อให้เองไม่ต้องเป็นห่วง

Yes, I have some questions about Groovy and Grail, Thank you to participate these question to Mr.Guillaume :)
Are Groovy and Grail target to replace old traditional Java programming?
How much of learning curve of Groovy and Grail? for experienced Java developer and other programming language?
Groovy and Grail can do everything that Java can do now, right?
I think we should write a getting started tutorial.
By the way, Would Mr.Guillaume come to join us at Barcamp 2008? :)

นอกจากตัว Groovy จะเป็นมาตรฐาน JSR แล้วนั้น คุณคิดว่ามี JSR อื่น ๆ ตัวไหนบ้างที่มีผลกระทบกับแนวทางการพัฒนาตัวภาษา Groovy ในอนาคต ?
(ปล. JSR คือ Java Specification Request - การยื่นคำร้องเพื่อเสนอให้เป็นข้อกำหนดมาตรฐานของชุมชน Java ครับ)

คุณมีความคิดเห็นอย่างไรในการที่ Groovy จะเข้าไปมีบทบาทและส่วนร่วมกับมาตรฐาน JSR อื่น ๆ เช่นกลายไปเป็นตัวจัดการ configuration ให้ Java Server Faces เป็นต้น?

ข้อ 3-4 ถ้าคิดว่าซ้ำๆ ก็ตัดทิ้งได้นะครับ ผมแค่อยากแยกประเด็นออกเป็นสองประเด็นในเรื่องการมาแทน java ตัวเดิม

From now , I would like to know the way of how you are going to make this community (JSR-241) be bigger (in business and technical views)?
Can you explain me ,how does Groovy make more productivity?
From Convention Over Configuration using Spring and Groovy, there are so many configuration files and parameters. How will you reduce the use of these things?
It is very nice to discuss with you .. I will look forward to your Java One conference next year.
