Harddisk มีปัญหา จะส่งไปเคลมควรทำ zero fill หรือ low level format ดีครับ..

พอดี Harddisk ใน Notebook มีปัญหาว่าจะเอาไปเคลมอ่ะครับ พอดีมันยังอยู่ในประกัน ทีนี้ว่าจะลบข้อมูลใน Harddisk ทั้งหมด คือลบแบบไม่ให้กู้ข้อมูลเดิมกลับมาได้อ่ะครับ ทีนี้ลองหาข้อมูลดู ก็เจอ zero fill กับ low level format นี่แหละครับ ตอนแรกนึกว่ามันคืออันเดียวกัน แต่อ่านไปอ่านมามันคนละอันกัน อยากทราบว่าควรจะใช้วิธีไหนดีครับ (Harddisk เป็นของ WD) อยากได้วิธีที่"ไม่ใช่เพื่อกำจัด bad sector" อ่ะครับ เพราะมันยังมีประกันอยู่ กลัวทำไปข้อมูลที่บอกว่า Harddisk มีปัญหาจะหายไปแล้วทีนี้จะส่งเคลมไม่ได้อ่ะครับ รบกวนผู้รู้ช่วยแนะนำหน่อยนะคร๊าบบ ขอบคุณล่วงหน้ามากๆครับผม

Today, an end-user, in most cases, should never perform a low-level formatting of an IDE or ATA hard drive, and in fact it is often not possible to do so on modern hard drives because the formatting is done on a servowriter before the disk is assembled into a drive in the factory.

คำตอบที่ให้เลือกคือ Zero Fill ครับ แต่ก็ยังไม่ปลอดภัย ลองดูโปรแกรมตามนี้ครับ

สมัยที่ผมไม่รู้จักอะไรเลยแต่กังวล privacy ว่าจะโดนดูดข้อมูลไปหลังเคลม (ช่วงนั้นมีข่าววีดีโอ xxx หลุดมั๊ง) ตอนนั้นใช้วิธีการที่โคตร simple (stupid) เอา linux image ก๊อบวางๆในหลายๆโฟลเดอร์จนเต็มทุกไดร์ฟแล้วจับ delete partition ครับ

บางทีเราอาจจะคิดมากไปเองก็ได้นะครับ ถ้าท่านไม่ใช่ดาราหรือบุคคลสำคัญ เขาจะอยากกู้ข้อมูลของเราไปทำอะไร จริงไหมครับ

เรื่องส่งเคลมไม่ได้ไม่ต้องห่วงครับ ผมเคยเคลมหลายตัว เดี๋ยวนี้บริษัทใหญ่ ๆ มักมีนโยบายไม่ยุ่งกับ HDD ลูกค้าครับ ต่อให้คุณขอร้องให้เขาซ่อมให้ (กรณีมีข้อมูลสำคัญอยู่แต่ HDD พัง เอาข้อมูลออกมาไม่ได้) เขาก็ไม่ซ่อมครับ เขาจะเปลี่ยนลูกให้คุณเลย โดยเอาลูกเก่าของคุณใส่ถุง seal อย่างดีส่งกลับบริษัทแม่ที่ตปท. แล้วเอาไป recycle ครับ (หรือจะ reuse แบบแยกส่วนผมไม่แน่ใจ)

ส่วนเรื่องความเป็นส่วนตัว ผมว่าไม่ว่าจะ zero fill หรือ llf ก็น่าจะปลอดภัยพอแล้ว (จริง ๆ แล้วก็อปไฟล์อื่นวางทับให้เต็มอย่างที่หลายท่านบอกก็พอแล้ว) แต่ถ้าจะเอาจริงจัง llf ปลอดภัยสุดครับ

เลือกจำนวน pass สูง ๆ

ใครก็กู้ไม่ได้ครับ

Zero Fill 35 รอบ <== แบบนี้เค้าการันตีว่าไม่มีทางกู้คืนขึ้นมาได้ 100% ครับ แต่ถ้าทำนี้คงต้องเปิดทิ้งไว้เป็นเดือน 555+

ปล. แอบไปหาเพิ่มมา อย่างใน Mac เค้าจะมีออฟชั่น Zero Fill ประมาณนี้แหละคับ
