  • Windows 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.04
  • Windows 2.03, 2.10, 2.11
  • Windows 3.0, 3.1, 3.11 (และ 3.2 สำหรับจีน) // ออกขนานไปกับ Windows NT 3.1, 3.5, 3.51
  • Windows 95 นับเป็น Windows 4.00 // ออกขนานไปกับ Windows NT 4.0
  • Windows 98/98SE นับเป็น Windows 4.10
  • Windows ME นับเป็น Windows 4.90 (และ Windows สาย 9x ก็จบที่ตรงนี้)
  • Windows 2000 นับเป็น Windows NT 5.0
  • Windows XP นับเป็น Windows NT 5.1 (รวม kernel สาย 9x และ NT ไว้ด้วยกัน)
  • Windows Server 2003 นับเป็น Windows NT 5.2
  • Windows Vista นับเป็น Windows NT 6.0
  • Windows Server 2008 ก็นับเป็น Windows NT 6.0
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 ถึงนับเป็น Windows NT 6.1

ผมว่ามันเป็น NT Kernel อย่างเดียวนะครับ Kernel สายเก่าน่าจะไม่มีส่วนร่วมเลย

ขอโทษครับ ที่ถูกน่าจะเรียกว่าเป็น kernel NT ที่รวมกับฟีเจอร์ consumer ซึ่งหอบมาจาก kernel ฝั่ง 9x (สมัยนั้นสาย NT ยังใช้งานตามบ้านได้ไม่ดี) ..จนกลายเป็น Windows XP
