คือผมตั้งใจจะลง Ubuntu 11 อะครับ ผมคิดว่าไม่มีปัญหาเรื่องการลง เพราะน่าจะคล้ายๆ window แต่ ผมสงสัยอย่างนึงอะครับ พวก Driver อะ จะไปหาจากไหนอะครับ (หลายคนบอกให้ไปหาจากเน็ต) แต่คอมที่ผมจะลงมันเครื่องเก่าแล้วอะครับ มันเลยไม่รู้ว่า รุ่นไหน ชื่อรุ่นอะไร TT พอมีโปรแกรมแบบแสกนหาไดรเวอร์ แบบ แสกนคอมเราแล้วรู้ว่ามีฮาร์ดแวร์ตัวไหนก็ไปหาไดรเวอร์มาลงอีกที มีปะครับ สำหรับ linux อะนะ ถ้าในคอมมันก็พอมี อย่าง driver genius , driver easy และ driver checker ประมาณนี้อะครับ ช่วยทีนะครับ ^^

ไม่ต้องใช้ Driver หรอกครับ มันมีมาพร้อม kernel แล้วครับ
นอกเสียจาก hardware ของคุณจะพิเศษ เช่น Gigabit Nic หรือ Hardware Raid เป็นต้น
ส่วนมาก Linux จะมีปัญหากับ Driver อุปกรณ์รุ่นใหม่ ๆ เสียมากกว่าครับ
ลองดูครับ ถ้าอุปกรณ์บางตัวใช้ไม่ได้ แนะนำให้ไปถามที่ ubuntuclub.com ครับ (เอ๊ะ แจ้งให้ไปเว็บอื่นได้ป่าวครับเนี่ย)

LCD ไม่ต้องลงหรอกครับ (ลองใช้งานแบบ Live ดูฮะ ถ้าใช้ได้ครบตอนลงจริงก็น่าจะครบโดยไม่ต้องลงอะไรเพิ่ม)
ปล.การ์ดจอก็ลงง่ายครับแต่พบว่าบางทีลงไปแล้วเกิดปัญหาก็มีนะ (สมาชิก ubuntuclub มาตอบเอง..)

การ์ดจอผม AMD 5770 ลง AMD Catalyst เน่าสนิทครับ (Mint) นะ
แต่พอเอาออกก็โอเคอยู่ครับ
ตอนนี้ผมมาใช้ Ubuntu 11.10 ก็ไม่ลง Driver อย่างอื่นเพิ่ม เพราะไม่ได้ใช้ GPU อะไรมากมายครับ

ถ้าเครื่องคอมมันเก่ามันจะมี linux บาง distro ที่ทำมาเพื่อรองรับคอมพิวเตอร์รุ่นเก่าๆ ครับ puppy linux ก็เป็นหนึ่งในนั้น แถมเล็กกว่า ubuntu ด้วย

ตกลงจะเอาไปใช้ทำอะไรเหรอครับยังไม่เห็นบอก ได้แนะนำให้ถูก
ส่วนตัวยังไม่เข้าใจปัญหาที่บอก ว่า lag ถ้าหมายถึงเครื่องกระตุก
คุณบอก เครื่องเก่า ไปตั้ง ขนาดจอ Full HD หรือเปล่า อย่างนั้นมันไม่ไหวหลอก ต้องดู
องค์ประกอบอื่นด้วยไม่ใช่ เรื่อง distro อย่างเดียว
ถ้าจะเล่น GUI ก็ต้องลง Driver VGA ที่ใช้ให้ถูก ไม่งั้นตั้งค่าความละเอียดอะไร ยังไงมันก็กระตุก เหมือนๆ Windows ไม่ได้ลง DRiver VGA นั่นหล่ะ มันปรับอะไรไม่ได้มาก
ถ้าจะหัดใช้คำสั่ง ไม่ต้องเล่น X-Windows หลอก
