ใช้ pc ทำเป็น server ครับ ใช้ core 2 แรม DDR2 4 GB Harddisk 320 GB Raid 0 Windows Server 2003 แรงไม่ค่อยพอ เวลาเจอ เครื่องลูกสัก 40 เครื่อง cpu ทำงานไม่ทัน (CPU วิ่งเต็ม 100 % แต่แรมใช้ไม่เยอะ ประมาณ 20-30 % ) แฮงค์กระจาย กำลังมีแนวโน้มว่าจะเปลี่ยนไปใช้ quad core น่าจะดีขึ้น แต่ก็ดีครับ ดูแลง่ายดีให้เด็กเก็บไฟล์ไว้ที่เดียว เครื่องใครเสียงานก็ยังอยู่ ก็พอใจในระดับหนึ่ง ถ้าใช้ server จริงๆ น่าจะดีกว่านี้

ไม่แน่ใจครับ เพราะไม่เคยลองเลย แต่ผมว่า windows 2003 น่าจะดีกว่านะครับ เพราะมันมี terminal server ฝังมาให้เลย ไม่รู้ว่า windows 2000 มีมาหรือเปล่า แต่ตอนนี้กำลังว่าจะหา windows 2008 server มาลองใช้งานเหมือนกันครับ แต่เสปคเครื่องลูก บูต ออนแลนได้ไหมครับ ของผมไม่ได้ ก็เลยเอาไฟล์ลีนุกซ์ลง Harddisk ไว้ เพื่อให้บูตจากแลนการ์ดได้ครับ เครื่องลูกเป็น P4 1.4 Ram 128 harddisk 40 Gb

ฮืม คือว่า เครืองลูกของผม ไม่ มี HardDisk มีแต่ NIC+CPU+RAM บูตด้วยแผ่นฟล๊อปปี้ดิสก์ โดยเป็นการจำลองการบูตของ ROM Boot ไว้ในแผ่นฟล๊อปปี้ดิสก์
แต่ผมติดปัญหาอยู่ ที่ ว่า พอบู๊ต เข้า server มันจะโหลด Image ไม่ได้ หน้าจอเครื่องลูก มีแค่ Mouse อย่างเดียว

ลองคลิกขวาที่ my computer นะครับ แล้วไปที่คำว่า remote แล้วตรงคำว่า remote desktop computer กดเช็คถูกหน้าคำว่า allow user to remote this computer ด้วยครับ ตอนแรกผมไม่ทำ มันก็จอมืดสนิทเลย อีกอย่างอย่าลืมย้าย user ไปอยู่ group remote desktop ด้วยนะครับ

ผมใช้ LTSP ของ edubuntu อะครับ แต่เครื่องลูกมีแค่ 6 เครื่องใช้บริการ firefox เนื่องจาก
ระบบโปรแกรมในสำนักงานเป็นแบบ web app อะครับ
ไม่ค่อยเจอปัญหาอะไรครับเพราะใช้ firefox อย่างเดียว และสงสัยเครื่องลูกมีน้อยอะครับ
Server core 2 duo แรม 2 GB
เครื่องลูก celeron 333 แรม 64MB
