3G เป็นคำนิยามถึง ชุดของเทคโนโลยี ที่ให้ความเร็วสูงระดับหนึ่ง (รู้สึกว่าจะเกิน 150kbps ขึ้นไป) เทคโนโลยีที่เข้าข่ายก็เช่น WCDMA, EVDO
GPRS เป็น เทคโนโลยี ตัวหนึ่งที่ใช้ในการส่งข้อมูลในเครือข่าย GSM

ผมว่าหลังๆ ไอ้ G มันเริ่มเป็น "คำการตลาด" อ่ะครับ มีทั้ง 2G 2.5G (gprs) 2.75G (edge) 3G 4G ไม่รู้ว่าก่อน 3G จะมี 2.875G ไหม, แต่เหมือนคลับคล้ายคลับคลาว่ามันมี 3.9G ด้วย - -"
ปล. ผมว่ามันเหมือน Web 3.0 อ่ะ "การตลาด" เพื่อความดู "เท่" ของคนพูด

หลังๆพ่อค้าแม่ค้า MBK เอามาเรียกผิด ตั้งแต่มี iPhone 3G ออกมา ก็ยังไปเรียกรุ่นเก่าว่าเป็น 2G 1G ตุ๊ดเจอแล้วเพลียค่ะ
