ผมว่ามันเป็น practice ที่ดีนะครับ เรื่องนี้คนใช้กล้องแคนนอนเห็นบ่นกันบ่อยๆ เพราะกล้องแคนนอนมักใส่ความสามารถใหม่ๆ เข้าไปในกล้องรุ่นมือสมัครเล่นจริงจัง กลายเป็นว่าแต่ละรอบของการอัพเดตจะมีช่วงที่กล้องรุ่นเล็กราคาถูกกว่ามาก แต่ความสามารถหลายอย่างดีกว่ารุ่นใหญ่ไป

เดายากครับ มันเป็นเรื่องการตลาดล้วนๆ จะให้เดามันก็คิดได้ทั้งนั้น ผมว่าอินเทลคงมีคำตอบในใจเขาแล้วแหละ แต่ถ้าให้เดาคงอาจเป็นเพราะ i7 เป็นเทคโนโลยีที่ใช้ต้นทุนพอสมควร แต่ i5 เป็นการตัดบางส่วนของ i7 มา เพราะฉนั้นค่าวิจัยของ2ตัวนี้คงไม่ต่างกันมาก(i7 อาจถูกกว่าด้วยซ้ำ) เขาคงอยากทำกำไรจาก i7 ให้มากที่สุดก่อน และอีกอย่างหากปล่อย i5 ก็จะไปทับตลาดกับ Core2duo อีก

ออกตัวท๊อปออกมาก่อนจะเรียกกระแสได้เยอะครับ เพราะยังไงคนก็ต้องเอาตัวออกใหม่ไปเปรียบเทียบกับของเก่า/อีกค่าย อยู่แล้วแน่นอน กรณีนี้เห็นได้ชัดเจนในตลาด GPU ที่ออกใหม่บ่อยๆครับ

ทำการลงทุนวิจัย i7 ออกมาให้รองรับตลาดระดับล่างไว้ด้วย ทีนี้ พอผลิต i7 ออกมาได้ ปล่อยขายเรียกกระแสตลาดระดับบนไปซักพัก ก็เอา i7 นั้นแหละ มาตัดวงจรบางอย่างออก มันก็จะกลายมาเป็น i5 ในบัดดล ปล่อยขายตลาดระดับล่างได้อีกรอบหนึ่ง
ของ AMD เขาก็ใช้วิธีนี้เหมือนกันครับ ผมยังเคยเห็นคนเอา CPU ของ AMD มา mod ให้เห็นเป็นรุ่นที่สูงกว่าเลย
GPU ก็ทำแบบนี้อยู่บ่อย ๆ ครับ
