Fairphone ผู้ผลิตโทรศัพท์เน้นรักสิ่งแวดล้อมเปิดตัว Fairphone 5 ความเปลี่ยนแปลงสำคัญคือยืดอายุซัพพอร์ตไปจนถึงปี 2031 รวม 8 ปี และดีไซน์เปิดให้ผู้ใช้สามารถถอดเปลี่ยนแบตเตอรี่ได้เอง

สเปคของ Fairphone 5 ได้แก่

  • กล้องหลัก 50 ล้านพิกเซล มุมภาพ 84.1 องศา
  • กล้องมุมกว้าง 50 ล้านพิกเซล มุมภาพ 117 อาศา
  • เซ็นเซอร์ ToF รองรับวิดีโอ 4K ที่ 30fps และถ่าย slow-motion ได้ถึง 240fps
  • กล้องหน้าเจาะรูในจอภาพ 50 ล้านพิกเซล มุมภาพ 90 องศา
  • ระบบปฎิบัติการ Android 13 คาดว่าจะอัพเดตแอนดรอยด์ 5 รอบ

เฉยๆกับอัพเดท OS 5 ปี เพราะตัวนี้ออกช้าไปปีนึง คือมาพร้อมกับ
Android 13 ในขณะที่ Android 14 ก็จะมาเดือนนี้อยู่แล้ว แต่อัพเดท security patch 8 ปีนี่ ถ้าทำได้จริง อย่าว่าแต่ฝั่งมือถือ android เลย ผมว่ามีร้อนๆหนาวๆกระทบไปถึง iPhone แน่ๆ แต่ต้องดูเรื่องความไวในการอัพเดทด้วย ไม่ใช่แค่ความยาวนาน
ปล. เห็นว่า QCM6490 คือ 782G

ส่วนตัวผมให้คุณค่ากับ Android Update น้อยกว่า security patch มาก แต่เข้าใจว่าจริงๆ มันต้องไปด้วยกันเพราะกูเกิลคงไม่ backport ให้ยาวๆ อยู่ดี

จริงๆ น้อยกว่านี้ Android Update แค่สองรอบแล้วได้ Security 9 ปี (ตัวละสามปี) ผมยังเชียร์กว่าเลย

ส่วนตัวผมก็ไม่ได้สนใจอัพเดทเวอร์ชั่นเหมือนกันครับ สนใจแค่เรื่องซัพพอร์ทแก้บัคกับความปลอดภัยก็พอ

แต่ปัจจุบัน Google ให้ security patch ของ Android แต่ละเวอร์ชั่นแค่ 3 ปีเท่านั้นเอง (เพราะงั้นถึงเป็น 5+3 ปี) ตราบใดที่ยังเป็นแบบนี้ก็ต้องอัพเวอร์ชั่นควบคู่ไปด้วย จะลาก security patch อย่างเดียว 8 ปีไม่ได้ (เว้นแต่ยี่ห้อนั้นจะ port มาเอง)

และตราบเท่าที่ Android ยังอัพเดทเวอร์ชั่นทุกปีอยู่... ผมคิดว่าอัพเดทเวอร์ชั่นใหม่เรื่อยๆทีละเวอร์ชั่น น่าจะง่ายกว่ากระโดดข้ามทีเดียว 3 เวอร์ชั่นนะครับ 55+

เห็นด้วยอย่างยิ่ง ใครอยากใช้ของใหม่ตลอดปล่อยเขาไป ผมอยากได้อุปกรณ์ที่อยู่กับผมยาว ๆ เพราะขี้เกียจย้ายเครื่องไปมาบ่อย ๆ

ควรจะต้องเปลี่ยน CPU ให้แรงขึ้นอีกนิด Ram เพิ่มขึ้นอีกหน่อย

8ปี นี่ก็ประมาณ Note5 ที่ผมยังใช้ดีอยู่ (เปลี่ยนแบตเป็นระยะ)
แล้วอยู่ๆ KBank ก็จะไม่ support แล้วซะงั้น 😢

กำลังสงสัยอยู่ว่าในอนาคต ถ้ามีเหตุผลทางเทคนิคบางอย่างที่ทำให้ไม่สามารถอัพเดต Security Patch ได้ตามสัญญา ทาง Fairphone จะมีมาตรการอย่างไร
